Stationed in the heart of Manhattan, a stone's throw from Central Park, and stretching more than 1,500 feet to the sky, is Central Park Tower -- the second tallest building in the U.S. and the highest residential building in the world. Its graceful and elegant, yet strong, shape protrudes against the New York skyline -- creating a new profile destined to become memorable.

Realized by Extell Development and designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, the glass and steel tower houses 103 floors, including a private club with a ballroom, a bar, a dining room, two pools and wellness areas, in addition to 179 apartments, among the most exclusive in the world.

During 2020, Sicis collaborated in the realization of one of these apartments, furnished with pieces from the Sicis Home Collection and embellished by mosaic and Vetrite coverings. Moreover, Sicis mosaics were selected for the indoor pool and wellness area, which was recently completed.

The approximate 65-foot pool defined by a pixel mosaic paisley design with delicate white and light blue hues, specifically customized for the project. The same mosaic design was also used for the hot tub, located at one end of the large pool.

As a counterpoint, a geometric pattern rises from the back wall and runs all along the ceiling, overlooking the pool and creating a sort of symmetry. Realized with a mix of blue tesserae, both iridescent and solid, it has a side lighting that gives it a fascinating suggestion in the evening hours.

The adjoining locker rooms complete the project, also covered in pixel mosaic like the pool, but in warm tones of beige and brown.
